“Joining the CAAS Panel of Commissioners was an interesting and important way to work with EMS agencies who aim, not for the minimum standard, but for the gold standard. CAAS accreditation requires an agency to commit to self-reflection and opening the doors to outside evaluators. You will learn much from your fellow commissioners, CAAS leadership and evaluators and the success stories of the accredited agencies.”

“As the Health Care representative on the CAAS Panel of Commissioners, physicians work hand-in-glove with the Legal and Business representatives to assess if applicant EMS agencies are meeting the CAAS “Gold Standard.” You learn a lot and get a temperature on advances being made in the many facets of EMS practice. The icing on the cake is that you forge awesome relationships with site reviewers, the other POC representatives, and CAAS staff and leadership. These relationships are immensely rewarding. “
