Mobile Health Resources Continues Patient Survey Program Formerly Offered by Press-Ganey

by CAAS Webmaster — last modified 2006-12-07 11:10

Companies that go through CAAS accreditation understand that obtaining feedback from the patient and community are part of the standards they must meet. Mobile Health Resources (MHR), a consortium of seven CAAS-accredited ambulance companies in Michigan, felt they could satisfy the standard by utilizing a patient survey tool...

...The plus side of meeting the standard with compiled data was that each member could measure its own performance against the other providers (privately) and "benchmark" its standings against the other companies in the ambulance provider participant group. With these goals in mind, MHR approached the survey company Press-Ganey and together developed a tool for patient survey as well as parameters for collecting, interpreting and distributing the results initiated by Press-Ganey. As the initial group of seven providers increased to 24, MHR reported that the participants were pleased with the service.

Recently, Press-Ganey informed the participants that it would be discontinuing the service as of January, 2007. Feeling that this was too valuable a tool to let go, MHR decided to step in and provide its own comprehensive patient survey program for EMS agencies. The new company,  "The EMS Survey Team",  has a target start date of  January 1, 2007. It is set to offer a program that meets the needs of its customers with all regulatory and privacy issues addressed and provided for. Customers will be able to log onto a secure website and obtain their own results and benchmarked data from the database.  The individual data is strictly confidential for all participating companies.
