The Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) Accredits Four Agencies in September

At their September 28th, 2005, meeting, the CAAS Panel of Commissioners granted accreditation to four agencies.

October 6, 2005 - At their September 28th, 2005, meeting, the CAAS Panel of Commissioners granted accreditation to four agencies. American Medical Response of San Diego, California; Cary Area EMS, Inc. of Cary, North Carolina; Doctor’s Ambulance Service of Laguna Hills, California; and Centre LifeLink EMS, Inc. of State College, Pennsylvania, all received their full three-year reaccreditations.

There are currently 96 CAAS-accredited agencies in 31 U.S. states and Nova Scotia, Canada, with almost 200 agencies working on new applications.

Agencies wishing to learn more about the benefits of CAAS accreditation may register for the November 29th seminar in Las Vegas, being held in conjunction with the 2005 Annual Conference of the American Ambulance Association. A March 2006 seminar is being planned in conjunction with EMS Today Conference in Baltimore, MD.
